TOPIC: The Rehab principle: seizing opportunities

BIBLE REFERENCE: JOSHUA 2 v 1- 23

MEDITATION -  .Joshua 2:12-13  Now therefore, I pray you, swear unto me by the LORD, since I have shewed you kindness, that ye will also shew kindness unto my father's house, and give me a true token:
And that ye will save alive my father, and my mother, and my brethren, and my sisters, and all that they have, and deliver our lives from death.

When we hear testimonies of God's remarkable works through others, it's not a moment to doubt or scoff, but rather to stand in awe, reverence, and fear of His greatness. Let these accounts inspire us to humble ourselves, pray, and eagerly seek God's mighty and loving hand to rest upon our lives as well.

Rahab's encounter with the Israelite spies showcased her knowledge of God's mighty works, including the parting of the Red Sea. Despite being a prostitute from a nation hostile to Israel, Rahab's heart longed for connection with the God of the Israelites. Her circumstances seemed insurmountable, yet God saw her genuine desire and created an opportunity for her to be part of the blessing.

Her story teaches us that admiring something is not enough; we must be willing to seize the opportunities that come our way. Instead of mocking or scoffing at what seems impossible, let us cultivate a heart of desire and openness to God's plans. We never know the extent of God's grace that can transform our lives and lead us to unimaginable blessings.

Truly, Rahab's life took an extraordinary turn - she became an ancestor of Jesus Christ (Matthew 1:5). She had only desired to live a quality life among the Israelites, but God had far greater plans for her. Selah! God's early call and providence transformed her life, demonstrating that His plans for us are often beyond our wildest imagination.

  TOPIC: CHANNEL BLOCKERS  BIBLE VERSE:  John 4 v 14 - 19 As I reflect on the conversation between Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well, I'm struck by the profound interest Jesus showed in her life. When He asked her to call her husband, she revealed the truth about her past, and Jesus gently exposed the reality of her situation. Think about it - this woman had been through so much, with five previous husbands and now living with someone who wasn't her husband. It's likely her self-worth was tainted, and her self-esteem was low. But Jesus saw beyond her struggles. He saw a woman yearning for something more, something that would bring her true fulfillment. Just as a blocked channel hinders the flow of water, our minds can be clogged with outdated perspectives and past hurts.
