TOPIC: CHANNEL BLOCKERS

 BIBLE VERSE:  John 4 v 14 - 19

As I reflect on the conversation between Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well, I'm struck by the profound interest Jesus showed in her life. When He asked her to call her husband, she revealed the truth about her past, and Jesus gently exposed the reality of her situation.

Think about it - this woman had been through so much, with five previous husbands and now living with someone who wasn't her husband. It's likely her self-worth was tainted, and her self-esteem was low. But Jesus saw beyond her struggles. He saw a woman yearning for something more, something that would bring her true fulfillment.

Just as a blocked channel hinders the flow of water, our minds can be clogged with outdated perspectives and past hurts. But Jesus is all about unblocking those channels, filtering out the debris, and bringing clarity to our lives. When we encounter Him, He seeks to restore us to a place of righteousness, freeing us from the burdens of our past.

In this encounter, Jesus demonstrates His compassion and ability to meet people where they are, bringing healing, restoration, and a newfound sense of identity. He says, "Go, call your husband," but perhaps He's really saying, "Leave behind the cycle of hurt and struggle. Come to Me, and I'll give you living water that will quench your thirst forever."

As we reflect on our own lives, let's consider what's blocking our channels, what's hindering the flow of God's blessings. Let's allow Jesus to filter out the debris, to remove the obstacles that prevent us from experiencing the fullness of life He offers. Let's drink from the everlasting fountain, and let His living water bring renewal to our souls. When Jesus says "Go, call your husband and come here," He's inviting us to lay down our baggage, to leave behind the temporary and the hurtful, and to follow Him to a place of true fulfillment. He's waiting for us to return to Him, to allow Him to pour His living water into our lives. Will you go back to where you left Jesus? He's still waiting, knocking at the door of your heart.
