BIBLE REFERENCE: 1 Samuel 25 1- 29.

MEDITATION - 1 Samuel 25:32-33  And David said to Abigail, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which sent thee this day to meet me:
And blessed be thy advice, and blessed be thou, which hast kept me this day from coming to shed blood, and from avenging myself with mine own hand.


Upon examining the story of Abigail, I realize that her narrative extends far beyond the confines of a virtuous woman within a family cycle. Abigail's character serves as a paradigm to emulate in all spheres of life. Her story teaches us the importance of proactive problem-solving and salvaging situations before they escalate.

Abigail's approach was not to indulge in blame games or analyze the 'whys,' but to focus on God's preference for that moment. She allowed grace to work, rather than letting chaos unfold. This virtue is not exclusive to household management; it's a principle that can be applied by anyone, regardless of gender.

Abigail's intervention prevented King David from taking the law into his own hands. Her story challenges us to reflect on our roles in fostering peace within our spheres of influence. Are we fueling crises or gaining ground? Are we passive or taking responsibility, even when situations seem beyond our control?

As we begin this week, let us heed God's call to take proactive steps towards peace. Whether in our communities, workplaces, friendships, families, or households, let us strive to be agents of peace, guided by wisdom and tenacity.

  Topic: God's Assurance Date: 6th July 2025 Some of the hardest waits are for the restoration of a loved one who has walked away from truth, from responsibility, or from us. It can feel humiliating to keep hoping, especially when their actions seem to spit on your patience. But God doesn’t show us their brokenness so we can walk away—He shows us so we can pray, intercede, and wait with purpose. The stretching of your heart in those moments may feel like suffering, but heaven sees it as strength. It is not forever. And when God restores, it is never too late.
